Refills

Water is the healthiest way to hydrate and we are lucky in this country to have safe tap water. Natural source water is often chosen though as unlike tap water it comes from an underground source and is not chemically treated which also means that people quite often prefer the taste. Tap water taste can vary across the country.

Natural source waters sit on a shelf next to other soft drinks and the choice is usually between a soft drink which is unlikely to be as healthy, or a natural source water. Water should always be readily available in the same format as other soft drinks to ensure that the healthy choice is the easy choice. In a recent survey[1]44% of adults said that, if bottled water were not available in a shop, they would buy another drink (which potentially is sugar sweetened) and 15% said they would go without a drink entirely (which isn’t good for general hydration). Only 18% would ask for tap water / or look for a refill station.
