Healthy Hydration

Drinking water is the healthiest choice when it comes to hydration but the options do not end there. Natural source waters have an important role to play when it comes to making the healthy choice.

The healthiest drink on the shelf: Natural source waters are the healthiest drinks on the shelf as they do not contain any sugars or additives. When you go into a shop to buy a drink you have a wide range of drinks to choose from. At a time of rising levels of obesity and tooth decay it is important that the healthy choice should also be the easy and appealing choice.

They also are the most environmentally friendly choice on the shelf as they require nothing to be cultivated or any industrial inputs to be made. They are bottled as they come out of the ground. In fact natural source water producers protect large areas of land around their sources from pollution to ensure their water is safe to drink protecting

Natural source water vs tap water: In the UK we are lucky enough to have safe, good quality tap water but many people prefer drinking a natural source water, either because they prefer the taste, or they like the fact that it is not chemically treated or comes from a protected underground source. The taste of tap water varies across the country and can vary from day to day depending on where it is sourced from and which chemicals have been used to treat it. The taste of natural spring waters remain consistent. It is really important that people can choice the type of water they prefer, otherwise they might chose a less healthy option.

Still vs sparkling: If you find still natural spring waters a little unexciting, why not try a sparkling one? The fizz can lift the drink and make it feel a little more special. Some people prefer the taste. For others it may be more like the fizzy soft drink that they are swapping out for a healthy option.

Choice within natural source waters: Each brand of natural source water has its own unique mineral content which is responsible for its distinct taste. The brand taste will be consistent over time and wherever it is bought, so you can find one you prefer, whether it has a higher or lower minerality, or the balance of the minerals.
