  • PET plastic bottles are 100% recyclable
  • PET plastic bottles are collected by 100% of Local Authorities for recycling
  • 74% of plastic (PET / HDPE) drinks bottles were collected for recycling from the kerbside
  • The weight of PET water bottles has been significantly reduced over the last few decades. A 1.5 litre PET bottle is now about 30% lighter than it was twenty years ago.
  • By producing lighter bottles, producers use fewer raw materials and are more energy and resource efficient in the process.
  • Between them, the members of the Natural Source Waters Association are instrumental in protecting around 350,000 acres in the UK, an area the equivalent of the Peak District National Park
